Duck stocking techniques

1. Grazing method. Generally, ducks are put into the selected stocking area from 10 to 11 o'clock every morning. Sufficient drinking water should be prepared in the stocking area. At the same time, feed should be put into the stocking area at a fixed place from 2 to 3 o'clock every afternoon to supplement the nutrients needed for their growth. Next, feed should be replenished after meeting the farm in the evening. In the process of stocking, we should strengthen the management of fields and gardens to prevent natural enemies from damaging them. It is to have special personnel to take care of them every day.

2. Stocking density. The stocking density needs to be determined according to the area of the selected stocking area and the size and growth of the duck seedlings. The stocking density can be appropriately thin, but it must not be too dense. In this way, the food in the stocking area can not meet the needs of the duck population, and there will be food grabbing. At the same time, excessive stocking density will pollute the environment in the stocking area, Generally, about 25 to 35 adult ducks can be stocked in a one-mu stocking area, and hundreds of 15-day-old duck seedlings can be stocked.

3. Grazing area. We plan and select the stocking area mainly according to the number of ducks, the distance from the breeding farm, the regional environment, etc. Generally, we choose the garden or paddy field close to the breeding farm for stocking, so that they will have enough food in the garden and people's field, and we only need to feed a small amount of concentrate for fattening. At the same time, fences should be set up in the stocking area to prevent ducks from escaping.

Pay attention to these when raising ducks in spring!

"Raising ducks in spring makes money, while raising ducks in summer pays off". It is difficult to raise ducklings in spring. The main problems in raising ducklings are unstable temperature, frequent cold waves and excessive rain. However, as long as the ducklings hatched in spring are warm and moisture-proof, and the feeding management is strengthened, the problem will not be great.

Headwater ducks generally breed during the period from Qingming to Guyu. After the ducklings come out of the shell and are fed in the shed for 7 or 8 days, they will arrive at the newly ploughed fields of fertilizer, rape, broad bean and green manure, and let them eat the natural animal feed such as small fish, shrimp, loach, earthworm, eel and insects in the fields.

When the early rice is harvested, the egg-type female ducks will start laying eggs, and then the male ducks can be listed. For egg-meat dual-use ducks, they can be fattened and sold by taking advantage of the good opportunity of falling grain and insects in the field when the crops are harvested.

In spring, special attention should be paid to supplement vitamin A. Generally, young ducklings and laying ducks within 50 days of age are more likely to lack vitamin A.

How many common diseases should be well prevented and controlled in duck breeding?

1. Duck plague. This is a disease with a relatively high mortality rate of ducks, and it is a disease that is prone to group infection. The symptoms are obvious. In the early stage, the duck will look rather lethargic, with loose wings, walking and shaking, and shaking head and drooping. In the middle and late stage, ducks have serious abscess. The eyes are congested, the head is swollen, and the tail is also accompanied by bleeding. In general, after discovery, isolation treatment should be carried out first, and then all duck breeds should be injected with duck venom antiserum, with the injection amount more than three times of the usual amount.

2. Avian aspergillosis. This is a frequently-occurring disease of birds, and ducks are also extremely susceptible to infection. Its harm is that it is easy to suffocate ducks. The symptoms are as follows: depressed, unwilling to walk for a long time, swollen duck neck and trachea, and dyspnea. What is easy to observe is that the feces are pale green. The diseased duck needs to be fed with enrofloxacin and feed, until the situation improves. Other ducks should be fed with penicillin to avoid infection.

3. Toxic hepatitis. This is a symptom that comes on very quickly. Once it comes on, it may be fatal in just half a day, so we must find it in advance. It usually occurs in young ducks. In the early stage, it was inconvenient to move, and sometimes it would stretch. The whole duck could not move like wood, and there would be oblique side when squatting. However, the better thing is that it has specific drugs for use, and the more appropriate is duck viral hepatitis yolk antibody, which has obvious effect.

4. Escherichia coli. This disease is mainly caused by inadequate human management. Generally, duck eggs will carry such pathogens first, and the sanitary environment after hatching is not up to standard. In addition, the centralized management of ducklings has induced duck colibacillosis. The disease is characterized by diarrhea, and the belly pressure will slowly break through the cover of feathers and swell. There will be hyperemia at the airbag. At present, this disease is generally prevented by vaccinating in advance. It is still necessary to observe more about duck breeding with the inactivated oil emulsion vaccine of Escherichia coli recommended as a better vaccine. Because many diseases of ducks are easy to infect, we must pay more attention to this aspect. Secondly, we must be timely to avoid causing greater harm. We must apply the right medicine to the case, otherwise it is easier to hurt ducks.
